SINCE 2021!

Located in Williamsburg, Virginia, The Bake Shop is inspired by our team’s passion for all things bread and coffee.

Led by our Head Baker, Rachel Taylor, our team is dedicated to the art of hand crafting baked goods inspired by the seasons.

In addition to our love for artisan breads and pastries, we have equal affection for quality coffee! Our Coffee Bar features the best beans and blends sourced by our region’s best roasters, with a focus on single-origin and fair trade coffees.

What started as a passion project in our sister restaurant, the Amber Ox Public House, has grown into a daily destination for breakfast sandwiches, hand-rolled bagels, artisan breads and fresh pastries.

RACHEL TAYLOR
HEAD BAKER

Rachel attended culinary school at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC, where she studied Baking and Pastry Arts. Before moving back to Virginia, she worked for JW Marriott Hotels, BLT Steak and Amelie’s in Charlotte.

In her free time, Rachel can be found enjoying nature, hiking, playing with her two miniature schnauzers, or shopping! She loves the color teal and listening to alternative rock.

Rachel’s Bake Shop go-to is the Ham & Cheese Croissant!
